Privacy policy

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information from you when you choose to register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or fill out a form (and when doing so, you are reminded that you are submitting personal data and asked to consent to sharing this)

To register on our site to retain basket information or a wishlist, the minimum required is an email address and password.

To make a purchase on our website, additionally we need your billing and shipping addresses, and contact details for enabling shipment of a parcel to you. You have the option to add these details to a registered account for easier retrieval in future, or to checkout as a guest, without making an account.

You are welcome to visit our site and browse anonymously without submitting any information.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience
(registering your address will show you delivery rates on product pages, and save time in checkout)

  • For customer service
(we retain email correspondence to assist with future enquiries)

  • To process transactions
    • Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product. That is, your contact / delivery information will be provided only to our shipping companies (DPD, Royal Mail, DHL or UPS) for getting your order to you.

  • To send periodic emails
    • The email address you provide on your order will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order only - you are not subscribed to any other content without your permission.

    • We will send you an email newsletter only if the checkbox 'Mailing list' is selected when registering your account. If you want to unsubscribe at any time, follow the instructions at the bottom of one of these emails, or on the website click My Account > Profile and in the profile details section remove the tick from the Mailing List box.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

All pages and forms on our site are transmitted via secure TSL 1.2 and our three payment gateways (PaymentSense, AmazonPay and Paypal) for fully PCI compliant and secure - submissions encrypted into our Payment gateway providers databases are only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. We do not have access to the card details ourselves.

How long do we retain data?

At present, we retain user account details and personal info indefinitely, with no set expiry - simply for the convenience of allowing you to easily re-order, or to be able to track past purchases for support or warranty. If you wish to have your personal data anonymised, please see next point.

Can I see a copy of the data you hold or be made anonymous?

While we cannot remove orders entirely as accounting records for sales must be retained, if you wish to see a copy of the data we hold on you, or to ask for your data to be made anonymous on our system (eg name and addresses starred out), please email us using the contact information at the top of the website.
