The FC9 Alpha takes all the great features of the original FC9 and improves upon then with small yet important changes. The drive tray has been re-design with variable drive positions, better airflow and now utilizes the new optical drive tray for easier installation and adjustment. The bottom panel has been updated with improved venting and more drive mounting locations, and USB ports have now been placed on both of the side panels for easier access and balance.
As with all Alpha cases, we have improved all tolerances, introduced a new refined sandblast finish, USB3.0 is native, the power LED is now a subtle pure white, the heatpipes and mounts have been uprated, and it is available with and without an optical drive opening. All these updates have been made whilst maintaining the original design ethos of crafting a work of art that beautifully combines form and function.
See Streacom's System Build Guide for more information and advice on using our range of chassis.

*Depending on hardware configuration, i.e. motherboard size
*Optical Drive Choice
Supports a variety of Slimline SATA Slot Feed Optical drives, and features a new eject button that supports any position of eject button on drives. Any Slot feed model from this page is fine - ../components/hard-disks-ssds/optical/laptop-sff/
*Power Supply Choice
Recommend the use of PicoPSU and external AC adapter - the case already has a mount to fix the connection for PicoPSU. Please see ourDC Power Supply page for Pico / Streacom Power Supplies - ../components/power-supplies/dc-boards-ac-adapters/
*Optional Remote Control
A remote receiver designed for the Streacom case is available separately here ../peripherals/home-media/remote-controls/streacom-flirc-se-universal-remote-ir-receiver/
Heatpipe Direct Touch 4 Pipes Recommended CPU TDP 65W, Max TDP 73W For LGA115x / LGA1366 / LGA2011 / AM1, AM2/3, FM1/2 Socket CPU. Avoid motherboards with tall heatsinks to the right side of the CPU socket. As with any passive cooling solution, environmental conditions will have an impact on the performance. A TDP of 73W is only recommended when the chassis is placed in a location with adequate air flow and moderate ambient room temperature
Thermal Paste is included.
