| What is Kustom? Kustom is a UK based retailer that caters specifically for computer enthusiasts, focussed on being the dream shop for anyone interested in PC Gaming, Case Modding or integration of computers into home and mobile environments - Lifestyle Computing, if you like. What's the History? Kustom PCs was originally formed in 1998 as a homegrown business by Graeme Clark. Initially the goal was to produce computers with the greatest degree of flexibility - so many retailers used the term 'custom built PCs' but the reality was that the ranges were quite restrictive. Kustom produced cool looking PCs that shunned the traditional beige boxes, long before anyone realised that the looks of their computer were important. The first shop was opened in Ayr in October 2000 and despite having 3 other independent PC retailers within a mile, a strong local following was found. Kustom spread the word further by attending computer fairs to show our range of cases and modifications and following increased demand, our e-commerce website launched in June 2001. Although Kustom no longer produces computer systems, we have continually expanded our product range - knowing to offer a one-stop shop for customers wanting to build and accessorise their dream PC. Our website and logo changed in April 2009 (the 'PCs' was dropped as it was no longer relevant) and the site still on-going development - we want to make it easy as possible to find and compare the products that you need. Why should I buy from Kustom ? Purchasing products by mail order or web based ordering will never be as simple as a shop based transaction, but at Kustom PCs we do our best to close the gap. We take customer service very seriously , and will gladly offer any pre-sales advice where required, provide as much information on our website about our products as possible, keep our customers updated on progress of orders and look after our customers with a personal after-sales service. And should anything not go to plan (let's be honest , it can happen!) we will do whatever we can to put things right and make sure that you, the customer, feel satisfied with your dealings with us. In our eyes, anyone can set up a business shifting products in volume at great prices, but keeping customers happy takes a little more effort.
